About this position

Rutgers University is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate in Cancer Epidemiology and Health Outcomes at the Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States.

The project examines how long-term exposure to outdoor air pollution affects survival, health-related quality of life, fatigue, sleep, systemic inflammation, and cardiac injury among Black breast cancer survivors in the Women’s Circle of Health Follow-Up Study. The study integrates residential histories, geospatial air-pollution estimates, cancer registry data, medical and pharmacy records, patient-reported outcomes, and circulating biomarkers.

The postdoctoral researcher will receive mentored training in environmental epidemiology, cancer survivorship, exposure assessment, survival analysis, mixture modeling, biomarker analysis, and health disparities research. Responsibilities include data analysis, manuscript and presentation preparation, grant proposal support, and IRB submissions.

Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field (or near completion), plus strong writing and statistical skills and proficiency in SAS and/or R.
