The research uses an ultra-high-field 10.5 T whole-body human MRI scanner and a novel dynamic deuterium to proton exchange MRS approach. The role is centered on developing, testing, and validating sequences in healthy volunteers, with additional work in spectral processing, data quality assessment, archiving, summarizing results, manuscript and presentation preparation, collaboration, mentoring, and broader scholarly activity.

Required background: PhD in physics, chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, computer science, neuroscience, or a similar field; experience acquiring and analyzing magnetic resonance spectra or images; and a track record of scientific publications. Preferred experience includes MRI/MRS data from human subjects, MR spectroscopy analysis, team science, multi-department collaboration, and work with research participants or clinical patients.

Funding and benefits: This is a paid postdoctoral role with a competitive salary of $63,480–$77,076 depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include paid holidays, time off, medical/dental/pharmacy coverage, flexible spending accounts, HSA contributions, disability and life insurance, wellbeing support, and financial counseling.
