About this position
Yale University’s Jiang Lab is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate in neurogenetics, genome/epigenome editing, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
The project sits at the intersection of gene regulation, neural development, and therapeutic editing strategies. The successful candidate will design and execute independent research using experimental and computational approaches, with emphasis on CRISPR-based perturbations, base/prime editing, targeted epigenetic modulation, and functional genomics in neuronal systems.
Research areas include neurodevelopmental disorders, genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of altered neural development, transcriptomic and epigenomic profiling, and model systems such as human iPSC-derived neural cells and other relevant in vivo/ex vivo platforms.
Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Neuroscience, Genetics, Genomics, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Strong molecular biology and functional genomics experience is required, along with experience in CRISPR-based genome editing and/or epigenome editing. Preferred experience includes iPSC culture, neuronal differentiation, organoids, sequencing library preparation, multi-omic integration, and computational analysis in Python/R.
The position offers a starting salary of $68,500 or commensurate with experience, based on published NIH salaries. Yale University highlights strong mentorship, cutting-edge resources, and access to core facilities for genome engineering, imaging, and high-throughput sequencing.
To apply, email a cover letter, CV, and two letters of recommendation to [email protected]. Optional publications or preprints may also be submitted. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
