About this position
Uppsala University is advertising a postdoctoral fellow position at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology in Uppsala, Sweden.
The project focuses on next-generation CAR-T cell therapies and combines immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, CRISPR screening, flow cytometry, and omics data analysis. The successful candidate will design and validate CAR-T constructs, investigate regulators of T-cell persistence and tumor infiltration, perform in vitro and preclinical in vivo experiments, and contribute to scientific manuscripts.
Applicants must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in immunology, cancer biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, or a related field. The ad gives preference to candidates who completed the degree within the last three years. Strong hands-on experience with CAR-T cell engineering, CRISPR screening, molecular cloning, viral vector production, primary human T-cell culture, advanced immunological assays, and R programming is required. Experience with animal work and FELASA certification are advantageous. A strong publication record and excellent English communication skills are also expected.

What's required
Doctoral degree in immunology, cancer biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, or another relevant field, or an equivalent foreign degree completed by the appointment decision date. Preference is given to candidates who earned the degree within the last three years. Required experience includes design, production, and validation of CAR-T cells; design, execution, and analysis of CRISPR screening (pooled or arrayed); molecular cloning; viral vector production (lentivirus/retrovirus); culture of primary human T cells; advanced flow cytometry including multicolor panels and sorting; standardized immunological assays; omics data analysis; and R programming. Experience with animal work and preclinical in vivo experiments is meritorious, and FELASA certification is preferred. Applicants should have a strong publication record with first-author peer-reviewed papers and very good English skills, spoken and written, plus strong collaboration skills.
