About this position
Mass General Brigham / McLean Hospital is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in clinical neuroimaging focused on PTSD and related emotional disorders.
The fellow will work with Nathaniel Harnett, Ph.D. and Isabelle Rosso, Ph.D. in a highly collaborative environment connected to McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The research centers on the neurobiology of posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety using MRI, especially resting-state fMRI, with opportunities to analyze functional and other neuroimaging datasets.
Core work includes processing, analyzing, and interpreting MRI data; applying advanced neuroimaging and statistical methods; contributing to study design and protocols; preparing manuscripts and conference presentations; and helping with grant applications. Required background: a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering, computational neuroscience, or a related field; experience with human neuroimaging and resting-state fMRI; strong publication record; quantitative and problem-solving skills; and excellent communication and teamwork. Preferred experience includes task-based fMRI, multimodal neuroimaging (diffusion MRI, MRS), programming in Python/R/MATLAB/shell scripting, and research in PTSD, trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, or affective neuroscience.
