What's required

Applicants should have knowledge of vesicular endocytosis and trafficking machinery, a background or interest in mechanistic experimental design, extensive hands-on mammalian cell culture experience including maintenance, passaging, transfection, and stable/mutant cell line generation, proficiency in quantitative fluorescence microscopy and image analysis (e.g. ImageJ), general cell biology and biochemistry skills including DNA gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE/Western blotting, protein purification, and protein-protein interaction assays, statistical analysis skills (e.g. GraphPad Prism), strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated research productivity with a minimum of 2 first-author peer-reviewed publications. Experience with neuronal cell culture, molecular cloning, PCR-based genetic editing, scientific graphic design, and mentoring students is preferred.
