About this position

Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) is advertising a three-year, full-time postdoctoral fellow position in the research project Together for Mental Health (Together4MH). The position is based in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and is linked to the research group PERSONFORSK (personalized health services).

The project is part of Horizon Europe and focuses on strengthening mental health and participation in education and working life through the development, adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions. The research environment emphasizes participatory research, co-creation, digital health, implementation research, and evaluation of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness.

The postdoctoral fellow will develop and carry out an independent research project with thematic and methodological relevance to Together4MH. The role also includes publishing in international peer-reviewed journals, dissemination and networking, contributing to external grant applications, and teaching/supervision. The appointment includes 25% career-enhancing work.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must have a Norwegian PhD or equivalent in mental health and health innovation, or have submitted the dissertation by the deadline; the PhD must be completed before appointment. Strong research and innovation-method skills are required, along with experience in project work, dissemination, supervision, teaching, or facilitation. Very good Norwegian/Scandinavian language skills and English are required.

Work location: the appointed person will work at the Department of Health and Care Sciences, with possible workplace at the Førde, Haugesund, Stord, or Bergen campuses in Norway.
