About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow in Nephrology at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, United States.
The Hato and Dagher Laboratories are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for an interdisciplinary research program at the intersection of sepsis, microbiology, molecular biology, and renal physiology. The work uses the kidney as a model organ to study how microbial signals shape tissue function, host responses, and disease pathogenesis.
The labs combine advanced imaging, dual-species sequencing and custom library preparation, RNA-based therapeutics, and genome editing in mammalian and bacterial systems. This is a strong training environment for candidates interested in crossing traditional boundaries between nephrology, molecular medicine, and infectious diseases.
Applicants from molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, nephrology, or related fields are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. or M.D. is required, along with strong motivation, independence, teamwork, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience in every technique is not required.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. For questions, contact Tara Wilson at [email protected]. Apply via the Indiana PeopleAdmin portal.
