About this position
University of New South Wales (UNSW) is advertising a Post-Doctoral Fellow position in Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) at the Kensington Campus, Sydney, Australia. This is a full-time, 12-month research role embedded in a nationally recognised team working across the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, School of Clinical Medicine, and School of Health Sciences.
The role supports qualitative and quantitative research across a portfolio of QUM projects, with responsibilities including literature reviews, study design, data collection, data management, advanced statistical analysis, manuscript and conference abstract preparation, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation. The position also contributes to grant proposals and may assist with HDR student supervision.
Applicants should hold a PhD in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, public health, or a related discipline. Experience in qualitative and quantitative methods, data analysis software such as NVivo, SPSS, SAS, or Stata, and strong publication and communication skills are required. Experience with ethics applications, data governance, privacy, and research funding applications is also valued.
Funding is employment-based rather than a scholarship: the salary is Level A: $95,036 - $126,711 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. Additional staff benefits include career development opportunities and extra leave over the Christmas period.
Applications close on 22 September 2026. To apply, submit a CV and cover letter addressing the selection criteria through the UNSW application portal. Email applications are not accepted.
