About this position
Stanford University’s Mignot Lab is recruiting several postdoctoral fellows or staff to join research on brain autoimmunity, with a primary focus on narcolepsy and related neurological autoimmune diseases.
The project investigates how infections and immune responses interact with the brain, including T cell recognition of antigens implicated in triggering narcolepsy, anti-Iglon-5 disease, and anti-NMDAR encephalitis. The lab uses flow cytometry, single-cell sorting, single-cell sequencing, tetramer/dextramer technologies, DNA-barcoded multimers, and genomics analyses in Python or R. The environment is highly collaborative and also connects genetics, proteomics, machine learning, neurodegeneration, and sleep disorder research.
Applicants should hold a PhD in immunology, molecular biology, or a related field. Strong experience with FACS-based T/B cell characterization, sequencing-based assays, biological sample handling, and single-cell or genomics workflows is preferred. Prior work with Class I/Class II tetramers and DNA barcoding is especially valued. International applicants are welcome.
This is a paid postdoctoral appointment at Stanford with an expected base salary range of $79,056–$81,053. The appointment term is 2 years renewable, and the position is stated to pay above the required minimum.
To apply, email a letter of interest, your full CV, and contact details for 3 references to Dr. Claudia Macaubas at [email protected]. A short note explaining how you would approach the biological questions with your skill set is also welcome.
