Postdoctoral Fellow Position – Prostate Cancer Epigenetics, Metabolism and Immunity
The Guocan Wang Lab at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology) is recruiting highly motivated postdoctoral fellows.
Research focus areas include prostate cancer, epigenetics, epitranscriptomics, metabolism, immunology, tumor microenvironment, metastasis, and therapy resistance. Current projects cover aggressive and neuroendocrine prostate cancer, immunometabolic reprogramming, antitumor immunity, metastatic spread to bone/liver/lung, and therapeutic vulnerabilities.
The lab uses genetically engineered mouse models, patient-derived samples, and advanced methods including single-cell and spatial profiling, ChIP-seq/CUT&RUN, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. The group emphasizes translational research and multidisciplinary collaboration, with support from federal, private, and institutional funding.
Eligibility: PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in cancer biology, epigenetics, RNA biology, immunology, metabolism, or a related field. Strong publication record and collaborative mindset are preferred.
