About this position
Chan Zuckerberg Biohub New York is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow / Scientist I for its Laboratory of Synthetic Spatial Omics in New York, NY. This is an onsite role focused on synthetic spatial omics, imaging technology, single-cell omics, and immune engineering, with strong overlap in biomedical engineering, biology, computer science, and statistics.
The lab develops and integrates advanced imaging-based multi-omics, sequencing-based approaches, and machine learning/AI frameworks to study engineered immune cell function in native microenvironments. The successful candidate will help build next-generation spatiotemporal omics technologies, profile immune cell states and spatial organization, analyze high-dimensional imaging and sequencing datasets, and contribute to collaborative discovery across genomics, synthetic biology, immunology, and machine learning.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Systems Biology, or a closely related field. The posting specifically seeks candidates with 2-4 years of post-PhD experience for the Scientist I track, plus experience in single-cell technologies, imaging-based and/or sequencing-based omics, molecular biology workflows, cell culture, nucleic acid handling, and cellular functional assays. Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and project leadership are emphasized. Preferred experience includes advanced microscopy, imaging-based transcriptomics/genomics, immunology or immune engineering, synthetic biology, protein design, or engineered cell systems.
Compensation is listed at $93,000 for Postdoctoral Fellow and $120,000-$150,000 for Scientist I, with possible annual bonus eligibility and benefits including 401(k) match, volunteer time off, family-forming benefits, and relocation support.
To apply, submit a cover letter and full CV through the Greenhouse application portal. The posting does not list a deadline.
