About this position
The E-POM IPCM Sorbonne group at the Institut Parisien de Chimie Moléculaire, Sorbonne Université, is inviting applications for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) postdoctoral fellowship. The research focuses on multi-responsive molecular materials for neuromorphic nanoelectronics, leveraging the tunable molecular properties of polyoxometalates (redox, counter-cations) to devise advanced materials for solid-state devices and functional surfaces. The successful candidate will join a dynamic interdisciplinary environment, collaborating with the Switchable Molecularly Functionalized Surfaces group at the Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (Leipzig) and the ECS Center for Neuromorphic Technologies at the University of Southampton as secondments.
Applicants must be highly motivated, preferably with previous postdoctoral experience and a clear career development plan. Eligibility requires that candidates have not resided or worked in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months preceding the deadline (9 September 2026). The fellowship duration is between 12 and 24 months. The project is embedded in strong scientific networks on molecular and solid-state materials, device engineering, and neuromorphic nanoelectronics.
Funding is provided through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action, typically covering stipend and research support. For further information, candidates are encouraged to review the research groups' web pages and contact Prof Anna Proust (Sorbonne Université), Dr Kirill Monakhov (Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering), and Pr Dimitra Georgiadou (University of Southampton).
To apply, send an expression of interest with your CV and publication list to Prof Anna Proust, copying Dr Kirill Monakhov and Pr Dimitra Georgiadou. The opportunity is ideal for researchers interested in polyoxometalates, molecular materials, neuromorphic nanoelectronics, and interdisciplinary device engineering.
Funding details
Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
