About this position

Postdoctoral opportunity at the Institute of Biomedicine of Valencia (IBV-CSIC) in Spain for a highly motivated candidate interested in genome architecture, long gene expression, and neuronal identity.

This position is part of a collaborative research project co-led by Dr. Ethel Queralt and Dr. Nuria Flames. The successful postdoctoral researcher will investigate how chromatin architecture influences the expression and processing of long genes, with emphasis on 3D genome organization, chromatin dynamics, transcription of long genes, co-transcriptional RNA splicing, and gene regulatory mechanisms involved in neuronal cell identity and neurodevelopmental disorders.

The call is aimed at candidates with a PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field, plus a strong publication record relative to career stage. Relevant experience includes chromatin biology, gene regulation, RNA splicing, neurodevelopment, and/or bioinformatics. The position also values excellent communication skills and strong motivation to work in an interdisciplinary environment.

This is a postdoctoral position associated with an APOSTD Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Generalitat Valenciana. The post is based at IBV-CSIC in Valencia, Spain, and offers a stimulating collaborative environment, joint supervision by complementary laboratories, state-of-the-art facilities, and support for preparing a competitive fellowship application.
