About this position
Postdoctoral position in analytical chemistry for the study of paint layers is available through a collaboration between Sorbonne Université/CNRS (LAMS, Paris) and École Polytechnique/CNRS (LCM, Palaiseau), France.
The project, titled “Novel Analytical Approaches for the Study of Paint Layers”, focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of ageing, drying, and degradation in oil-based paint layers containing lake pigments. The work combines chromatography, mass spectrometry, HPLC, SFC, and multimodal imaging methods such as MALDI, TOF-SIMS, and AFM-IR, along with advanced data-processing approaches.
Applicants should hold a PhD in analytical chemistry and have strong expertise in separation techniques and mass spectrometry, ideally with experience in chromatography and/or imaging. An interest in data analysis and processing is also expected.
The position is for 18 months and offers a gross monthly salary of €3,081.33–€3,519.85 for candidates with less than two years of experience, according to the current salary scale.
