About this position

Postdoctoral position in Electrical Engineering at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Department of Electrical and Information Technology (EIT), in Lund, Sweden.

The project sits in the Division of Electromagnetics and Nanoelectronics and focuses on nanoelectronics, cryogenic applications, and ferroelectric materials. The research explores novel interface structures for cryogenic ferroelectric operation, including new ALD materials for ferroelectric interfaces, structural characterization at synchrotron beamlines, and collaboration with researchers in ACT and strategic research areas in advanced materials.

Research topics and methods: III-V semiconductor technology, electronic and optoelectronic devices, ferroelectric HZO, ALD deposition, clean-room processing, experiment design, sample preparation, measurements, data analysis, interface characterization, and synchrotron-based structural studies.

Eligibility highlights: Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent in the subject area. Strong experience in material deposition, clean-room processing, and structural film characterization is required, preferably with synchrotron techniques. Very good English and strong independent/collaborative working skills are expected. Experience in ALD technology is an advantage.

Funding and appointment: This is a full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral employment for two years. Teaching may be included up to 20% of working time. The post is a career-development research position, with opportunities for teaching training and supervision of degree projects and doctoral students.

Application window: Published 2026-09-30; last application date 2026-10-21.

How to apply: Submit the application via Lund University’s recruitment system. Include a CV, personal letter, degree certificate or equivalent, and any supporting documents such as transcripts, referee details, or recommendation letters.
