About this position
Postdoctoral position in psychology at Université de Caen Normandie, France, within the NIMH research unit (U1077) and the TREM project (“From Traumatic to Resilient Memory”). The project examines how traumatic autobiographical memories can become resilient memories, with a strong focus on autobiographical memory, resilience, psychotrauma, narrative characteristics, autobiographical reasoning, and associated brain mechanisms.
The postdoc will work under the supervision of Dr. Peggy Quinette (Associate Professor with HDR) and join a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and PhD students in Caen. The role combines participatory research, qualitative and narrative analysis, participant coordination, and contribution to an experimental and functional neuroimaging study.
Key responsibilities include setting up the project, preparing regulatory and ethical submissions, organizing focus groups, recruiting and following up participants, assisting with inclusions and data collection, conducting qualitative/narrative analyses, coordinating with external partners, and contributing to dissemination through presentations and publications.
Eligibility highlights: PhD or equivalent in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or Neuroscience; strong qualitative and narrative analysis skills; experience with autobiographical memory, identity, trauma, or narrative processes; excellent French; and 1–4 years of research experience preferred. Knowledge of NLP or interdisciplinary collaboration with computer science is a plus.
Funding: temporary part-time postdoctoral contract for 25 months at 50% workload, with a monthly gross salary of €1,469.50.
Application: apply by email to [email protected] with a cover letter, detailed CV, PhD defense report, and contact details plus reference letters from two academic referees. Deadline: 30 October 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
