About this position
Postdoctoral positions in superconducting quantum circuits and quantum-enabling technologies at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The 202Q-lab is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers for cutting-edge work in quantum information processing, bosonic modes, quantum computing, and quantum-enabling technologies. One project focuses on scalable verification protocols for bosonic quantum processors and quantum advantage; the other focuses on developing and integrating traveling wave parametric amplifiers (TWPAs) based on the nonlinear kinetic inductance of superconducting thin films.
Research activities may include device design, simulation, fabrication, quantum control and measurements, microwave characterization, cryogenic experiments, and integration with superconducting qubit readout systems. The group works within the broader superconducting-qubit ecosystem at Chalmers and is connected to WACQT, the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology.
Eligibility: a doctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Nanotechnology, RF or Microwave Engineering, or an equivalent foreign degree is required by the time of the employment decision. Strong English communication skills are mandatory. Experience in superconducting circuits, nanofabrication, cryogenics, microwave design/measurements, or mesoscopic physics is a strong merit.
Funding and terms: the positions are funded through WACQT and a Knut and Alice Wallenberg (KAW) Proof of Concept Grant. The appointment is full-time for two years with a possible one-year extension. The work requires physical presence throughout the employment.
Application: submit the application in English via the online form on the vacancy page. Attach a comprehensive CV with publications and teaching experience, plus a personal letter describing your background, research outcomes, and future goals. Applications must be complete and submitted by 2026-11-13; emailed applications will not be considered.
