The post is focused on cardiovascular imaging, genetic epidemiology, and data science, with work spanning large-scale research datasets and secure data environments. Research themes include genetic and epidemiological studies of cardiovascular disease, with opportunities to build expertise in GWAS, fine-mapping, colocalisation, polygenic risk scoring, and Mendelian randomisation. The role also includes analysis of multi-modal imaging data such as MRI, CT, and echocardiography, with scope to develop machine learning and AI methods.
This is a 2-year MRC-funded post with potential for extension subject to funding. The salary range is £38,419–£51,755 per annum. The team describes itself as friendly, international, and collaborative, with a wide network of collaborators worldwide.
Applicants should have a PhD or be near completion in statistical genomics, genetic epidemiology, data science, computing, AI, biomedical engineering, or a related field. A strong publication record in genetic epidemiology, GWAS, or omics-based research is especially valued, along with strong Python/R/Linux/GitHub skills.
The position is based in London (or for candidates willing to relocate). The closing date is 2 August 2026. Interested candidates should review the full job advert and apply via the jobs.ac.uk link provided in the post.
