About this position

The role also offers opportunities to analyse cohort data, contribute to publications, and help develop new research and funding proposals.
The FEVER II component involves technical support for neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive assessments in children affected by severe CNS malaria, with work spanning Malawi, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Tasks include translation and piloting of tools, staff training, quality assurance, and harmonisation across sites.
Applicants should have a PhD or be close to completion in psychology, neuroscience, developmental science, medicine, or a related field. Experience with standardised neurodevelopmental or behavioural assessment in infants or young children is preferred, along with experience in longitudinal/cohort research, data analysis, proposal development, global child health, or cross-cultural assessment. Strong communication, organisation, scientific writing, independent working, and teamwork skills are essential. Good Clinical Practice certification is required or must be undertaken.
