The Alfaidi Lab in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study vascular biology, pulmonary hypertension, and broader cardiopulmonary vascular disease. Applicants should have prior research experience in pulmonary vascular disease or related areas and experience with techniques such as endothelial cell culture, animal models of cardiovascular disease, Western blotting, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, single-cell sequencing, ATAC-seq, and statistical analysis.
Preferred experience: work with animal models of pulmonary or atherosclerotic diseases, presentation of research at scientific meetings, and manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects, work independently, and thrive in a collaborative setting.
