About this position

Postdoctoral opportunity in AI for Molecular Modelling at Brunel University of London in London, United Kingdom.

This Research Fellow role contributes to a UKRI NERC-funded project on defining species sensitivities to endocrine-disrupting chemicals. The successful candidate will work on the computational side of the project, including protein structure modelling, molecular docking, and detailed analysis of protein-ligand interactions. The outputs will be integrated with experimental receptor-interaction data from the University of Southampton to develop and evaluate AI / machine learning methods for predicting chemical binding and species sensitivity.

Ideal applicants should have experience in protein molecular modelling, protein-ligand docking, machine learning for computational biology, and Python software development.

The post is a fixed-term appointment until 30/11/2028. Applications close on 21 September 2026, and interviews are planned for the week of 12 October 2026 online.

For more information, contact Dr Alessandro Pandini at [email protected] or apply via the Brunel careers portal.
