About this position
Harvard Medical School is advertising a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the Department of Immunology, specifically in the Mathis laboratory. The project focuses on the role of adipose-tissue regulatory T cells in health and disease, making this a strong fit for candidates interested in immunology, T regulatory cells, metabolism, and related organismal metabolism research.
The position is open to recent MD and/or PhD graduates with research experience in basic immunology or organismal metabolism. Hands-on expertise in these areas is preferred, and the lab also values candidates who can multitask and collaborate effectively with other labs. The successful fellow will work on a jointly designed research project and is expected to contribute to grant writing, manuscript preparation, mentoring new lab members, and general lab operations.
This is a salaried, benefits-eligible postdoctoral appointment. The post notes that postdoc salary is determined by years post-PhD and refers applicants to Harvard’s postdoctoral salary guidelines. The fellow is also expected to apply for fellowship funding. Visa sponsorship may be considered at Harvard’s discretion, including payment of applicable fees.
Applications should be submitted through the Harvard Academic Positions posting. Required documents include a CV, cover letter, and statement of research. Questions can be directed to David Lucas, PhD at [email protected]; applicants are asked not to contact the PI directly.
