About this position
Australian National University (ANU) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in perovskite photovoltaics and perovskite–silicon tandem solar modules within the School of Engineering in Canberra, Australia.
The project is a major ARENA-funded initiative focused on developing low-cost, scalable solar technologies. The successful candidate will work on high-efficiency perovskite solar cells, large-area flexible modules, scalable thin-film deposition, device fabrication, module integration, characterisation, and stability testing. The role also involves collaboration with leading Australian research institutions and industry partners including Halocell Energy, Tindo Solar, and Greatcell Solar Materials.
This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for up to 2 years at Academic Level A or B, with a salary package of AUD 91,546–141,317 per annum plus 17% superannuation. The position is research-intensive and suited to candidates with a PhD or equivalent research experience in photovoltaics, perovskite solar cells, semiconductor devices, materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Highly relevant experience includes perovskite photovoltaics, tandem solar cells, thin-film deposition, large-area device fabrication, and photovoltaic characterisation. For Level B appointment, research independence and a strong publication record are expected.
To apply, prepare a statement addressing the selection criteria and a CV with at least three referees. Applications close on 18 October 2026.
