About this position
University of Oxford is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy & Genetics (DPAG), working with the Wade-Martins Laboratory at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Discovery. What's required
Hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD/DPhil in molecular and cellular neuroscience, or equivalent. Applicants should have knowledge of the cell and molecular biology mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease or a related neurodegenerative condition, experience in neuronal cell culture preferably using human pluripotent stem cells, experience setting up cellular assays and techniques in cell and molecular neuroscience, and evidence of contributing to publications or presentations. Strong communication skills, ability to manage academic research and associated activities, contribute ideas for new projects and research income, and experience creating collaborative and inclusive environments are also required.
