About this position
University of Turku is inviting applications for a fixed-term, part-time Postdoctoral Researcher (50%) in the Department of History, Culture and Arts Studies, Faculty of Humanities. The role is part of the Research Council of Finland funded project PERSECUTIO: Causalities of Polemics and Persecution in Late Medieval Europe, led by Academy Research Fellow Reima Välimäki.
The project investigates the causes of the persecution of heretics and Jews in late medieval Europe, especially in the Holy Roman Empire, using modeled medieval sources and both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The successful applicant will work with the project leader and research group on variable and method development for quantitative analysis, data analysis, scholarly publishing, workshops, collaboration with the DISSINET research group at Masaryk University, and communication/impact activities. Teaching and student supervision may also be involved.
