About this position

University of Minnesota is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Researcher based at the Advanced Light Source, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, CA, USA. The project focuses on the physical and chemical properties of aquatic colloids and particles, with emphasis on minerals and organic matter interactions in aquatic systems.

The successful candidate will conduct original research using X-ray spectromicroscopy and complementary approaches, develop in situ cell methods for geoscience applications, prepare findings for peer-reviewed publication, build collaborations with SEES users, and communicate with supervisors and project collaborators.

Supervision/mentoring is listed for Dr. Brandy Toner (University of Minnesota), Kyounglim Kang (University of Minnesota, Advanced Light Source), and Dr. David Shapiro (Advanced Light Source).
