About this position
Lund University is advertising a postdoctoral researcher position in clinical microbiology at the Department of Translational Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, with research based at the Wallenberg Laboratory in Malmö, Sweden.
The project focuses on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Gram-negative bacteria. The successful candidate will work on microbiological and molecular biology experiments, including bacterial cultivation and characterisation, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, virulence-related assays, and analysis of antibiotic resistance mechanisms. A major component of the role is bioinformatic analysis of genomic/sequencing data to identify resistance genes, genetic mechanisms, and dissemination patterns.

The postdoc will also coordinate a collaborative project with researchers in Ukraine, contribute to scientific communication and sample/data flow, supervise Master’s students, other students, and doctoral students, and help prepare publications and research grant applications.
