About this position

Aarhus University in Denmark is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for complex plant data integration in the Plant Molecular Biology section at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.

The project focuses on plant–microbe interactions, especially the molecular dialogue between plants and associated microorganisms, with the long-term aim of supporting sustainable and resilient agricultural systems. The advertised postdoctoral work is centered on complex data analyses of plants to improve symbiotic associations with soil microbes, using data integration across plant species and data types such as genomics and transcriptomics.

The role includes independent and collaborative research, designing and adapting deep learning methods for omics data analysis, working with international partners, presenting results at meetings and conferences, and contributing to supervision of MSc and PhD students.

Eligibility highlights include a PhD in Computational Sciences or a similar field, strong experience with large biology-related datasets, and an advantage for candidates with expertise in single-cell analysis, spatial data analysis, spatial statistics, annotation, and cross-species gene mapping. Excellent English communication skills are required.

This is a full-time fixed-term postdoctoral position starting on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter and ending on 31 March 2028. The deadline for applications is 30 September 2026.

Apply via Aarhus University’s recruitment system through the job advertisement on the university website. The application must be in English and include a CV, degree certificate, publication list, research plan, and teaching-related documentation if applicable.
