About this position

Institut Imagine, INSERM, and Université Paris Cité are advertising a postdoctoral researcher position in HIV-1 innate sensing, lipid metabolism, dendritic cell biology, and single-cell multi-omics. The project is hosted by the Single-Cell Inflammatory Responses & Multi-OMICs Networks (SCInflaNet) lab and focuses on how lipid metabolic pathways regulate HIV-1 sensing, type I interferon responses, and antiviral immunity in human dendritic cells.

The successful candidate will work on characterizing HIV-1-induced changes in lipid metabolism, testing how lipid pathways affect viral replication and innate sensing, and applying methods such as lipidomics, scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and computational/systems biology. The post is based in Paris, France, at Institut Imagine – INSERM, Université Paris Cité (Necker Hospital campus).

Applicants should hold a PhD in Immunology, Virology, Cell Biology, or a related field. Experience with primary human immune cells (DCs, macrophages, PBMCs), flow cytometry, qPCR, Western blot, and CRISPR is requested. A strong publication record and excellent English are expected. Experience in HIV/retrovirology, BSL-3 work, lipidomics, single-cell omics, and computational analysis in R/Python/Seurat/Scanpy would be advantageous.

The position is offered for 2 years, renewable, with a competitive salary. The lab also highlights mentoring, career development, conference support, grant-writing training, and access to advanced platforms including single-cell genomics, flow cytometry, imaging, bioinformatics, and BSL-3 facilities.

To apply, send a single PDF by email to [email protected] with the subject line Postdoc Application – LIPID- [Your Name]. Include a cover letter, CV with publication list, research summary, and contact details for 2–3 referees.
