Postdoctoral Researcher in HIV-1 Innate Sensing, Lipid Metabolism and Dendritic Cell Biology

Postdoctoral Researcher
for a project at the intersection of

The position is based in Paris, France, within the
Single-Cell Inflammatory Responses & Multi-OMICs Networks (SCInflaNet)
lab at Institut Imagine (Necker Hospital campus). The project builds on recent findings linking HIV-1 infection, lipid metabolic pathways, and type I interferon production in human dendritic cells.
The successful candidate will investigate how lipid metabolism regulates HIV-1 sensing and antiviral immunity. Research tasks include characterizing HIV-1-induced changes in lipid metabolism in human dendritic cells, testing how lipid pathways affect viral replication and interferon responses, and using
lipidomics
,
scRNA-seq
,
scATAC-seq
, and computational/systems biology approaches.
Eligibility highlights include a
PhD in Immunology, Virology, Cell Biology, or a related field
, experience with primary human immune cells (DCs, macrophages, PBMCs), and practical skills in flow cytometry, qPCR, Western blot, and CRISPR. A strong publication record and excellent English are expected. Experience with HIV/retrovirology, BSL-3 work, lipidomics, single-cell omics, and programming/analysis tools such as R, Python, Seurat, and Scanpy is a plus.
