About this position
The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the Hotta Group, an independent group within the Puck Ohi Laboratory. The project focuses on microtubules, the tubulin code, cell biology, proteomics, and cancer signaling, with broader relevance to pathology and diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.
The research uses human cultured cells, microscopy, protein biochemistry, and exploratory proteomics to study how microtubule chemical modifications and structures regulate cellular activities. Current themes include code reading, code selectivity, pathological signals, and development of novel biosensors for live-cell visualization of microtubule changes.
This is a fixed-term postdoc position funded by NIH R01. The initial appointment is expected to be around two years and may be renewed annually.
