About this position
Postdoctoral position available in Organic Chemistry, Photoactive Materials, and Photophysics for 18 months at the Institute of Molecular Sciences (ISM), University of Bordeaux and the Laboratory of Chemistry (LCH), ENS de Lyon in France.
This interdisciplinary project is part of PEPR LUMA – SUNRISE, focused on improving the efficiency and spatial resolution of photoinduced processes by addressing intrinsic limitations of excited states. The research combines organic synthesis, photoactive molecules, gold nanoparticle functionalization, hybrid photoactive materials, UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, time-resolved spectroscopy, photochemistry, and triplet-triplet annihilation (TTA).
The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a related field, with hands-on experience in multi-step synthesis, NMR/MS characterization, and UV-vis/fluorescence methods. Experience with nanomaterials and/or time-resolved spectroscopy is welcome but not mandatory.
The position is based across Talence (Bordeaux) and Lyon, and applications must be submitted via the official University of Bordeaux job advertisement. Deadline: 31 August 2026.
