Postdoctoral Researcher in Valuing Nature, Natural Capital Accounting and Ecosystem Valuation Trinity College Dublin in Ireland

Trinity College Dublin is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the Valuing Nature project, based in Trinity Business School and working within the Trinity Business and Nature Hub with Professors Martha O'Hagan, Catherine Farrell, and Jane Stout.

This role sits within a highly trans-disciplinary research programme focused on natural capital accounting and improving capacity and expertise in assessing ecosystem stocks and flows in an Irish context. The successful candidate will contribute to research on the status of monetary and non-monetary valuation approaches used in Ireland, the EU, and internationally, and will help apply valuation approaches in practice.

The position is funded by the AIB Trinity Climate Hub and is offered for 12 months, starting 1 September 2026. This is a strong opportunity for researchers with interests in economics, environmental science, business, and finance, especially those working on sustainability, ecosystem valuation, and nature-related decision-making.
