About this position
The Department of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen is recruiting two fixed-term postdoctoral researchers for the project Labour Migration as a Source of Institutional Change. The project examines how companies’ use of migrant labour can reshape labour market institutions in receiving countries, with comparative case studies across manufacturing, construction, and hospitality in two-country comparisons (either Austria and the Netherlands or Ireland and Sweden).
The postdoctoral researcher will work in the Employment Relations Research Centre (FAOS) with Associate Professor Jens Arnholtz and another postdoc, and will contribute to a five-country comparison. The role focuses on qualitative and comparative research, including process tracing, interviews with company representatives, trade unions, labour inspectors, authorities, and experts, plus analysis of statistics, archival sources, media, policy documents, and prior studies.
