About this position
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Neuroimaging within the School of Integrated Health Sciences, working with Ayan Sengupta (Assistant Professor, Department of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences) and the UNLV MR Imaging Core (UMIC).
This position is centered on MRI, neuroimaging, cognitive neuroscience, and related brain-imaging methods. The scholar will conduct scientific research and development in MRI projects, develop innovative MRI acquisition and data analysis methods, support neuroscientific studies, manage and analyze research data on a high-performance computational cluster, and run reproducible neuroimaging pipelines. Research activities may involve a 3T Siemens Prisma MRI scanner, peripheral physiological measurements, audio/video presentation systems, fNIRS, TMS, tDCS, EEG, behavioral experiments, and wet-lab support such as phlebotomy and MRI contrast administration. The postdoc will receive mentorship from the PI and the PI’s network, with potential opportunities to initiate independent projects aligned with the UMIC research program.
Eligibility highlights: a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, MR physics, or a related field is required before the start date. Preferred experience includes Python, MATLAB, MRI data processing, fMRIprep pipelines, Linux/Debian systems, SLURM, HPC-based neuroimaging analysis, strong communication skills, teamwork, and prior supervision experience.
