About this position
Multiple postdoctoral scholar positions are open in the Bharti Lab at Penn State University (Department of Biology and the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics). The project is NIH-NSF funded and focuses on spatial and quantitative models of infectious disease, including the transmission dynamics and spatial trajectory of measles and Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as environmental factors contributing to Ebola spillover.
Ideal applicants have experience in GIS/spatial analysis or quantitative disease modeling in R and/or Python. The lab welcomes creative, interdisciplinary researchers with backgrounds in natural science, social science, or quantitative training. This is a 100% research role with no teaching. Relocation to Penn State is required and remote work is not permitted.
