About this position

Yale University’s In-Hyun Park Lab is recruiting a Postgraduate Research Associate in stem cell biology and neurodevelopment at the Yale School of Medicine, within the Department of Genetics and Yale Stem Cell Center.

The lab studies human brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders using human pluripotent stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), brain organoids, genetics, genomics, and molecular/cellular biology approaches. The role offers hands-on training in stem cell culture, neural differentiation, organoid models, microscopy, gene-expression analysis, gene editing, transcriptomics, and quantitative data analysis depending on the project.

This opportunity is especially suitable for candidates planning future PhD, M.D., or M.D./PhD training and who want intensive research experience in an interdisciplinary environment spanning stem cell biology, neuroscience, developmental biology, genomics, and human disease modeling.

Eligibility: a bachelor’s degree in biology, neuroscience, genetics, molecular and cellular biology, biomedical engineering, computational biology, or a related field. Prior research experience is preferred but not required. Strong interest in stem cell biology, human brain development, neuroscience, genetics, or neurodevelopmental disorders is encouraged.

Funding: annual salary of $45,600.

How to apply: email a cover letter/statement of interest, CV, and three references to In-Hyun Park at [email protected]. The cover letter should describe prior research experience, current scientific interests, interest in the Park Lab, and long-term career goals. Applications are reviewed until the position is filled; preferred start date is October 1, 2026.
