About this position
Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Optometry is recruiting for a research project on clinical and molecular evaluation of HWBIO® MeiboRevive™ vectored thermal pulsation system in dry eye disease. The team is seeking candidates for Research Fellow, Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Associate, and Research Assistant roles, with both full-time and part-time appointments available.
The work involves clinical measurements of refraction and anterior eye examination, dry eye evaluation and assessments, tear sample collection for omics study, mass spectrometry, bioinformatics analysis, research data analysis, and manuscript/report preparation. This is a research-intensive opportunity at the intersection of optometry, ophthalmology, biomedical analysis, and molecular/omics methods.
Eligibility varies by role: the Research Fellow post requires a doctoral degree plus at least three years of postdoctoral research experience; the Postdoctoral Fellow post requires a doctoral degree or equivalent and no more than five years of post-qualification experience; the Research Associate post requires a master’s degree in Optometry or Ophthalmology, or a good honours degree with three or more years of relevant research/work experience; and the Research Assistant post requires an honours degree in the above disciplines or equivalent.
Applicants should have strong English and Chinese communication skills, fluency in Cantonese or Putonghua, and good interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Relevant research experience and publications are preferred. Full-time roles offer a highly competitive remuneration package, while part-time roles have hourly rates specified in the advertisement.
