Georgia State University’s Institute of Health Administration in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business is recruiting for a tenure-track open rank faculty position in Health Administration. The appointment is for Fall 2026 and is open to a tenurable senior Assistant Professor or a tenured Associate Professor.

This is a research- and teaching-oriented academic role at a major R1 university in Atlanta, Georgia. The Institute of Health Administration is one of the oldest health-related academic units in a business school and offers programs including an MBA/MHA, MSHA, and related healthcare management pathways. The college highlights a growing health focus across health administration, health policy, public health, nursing, gerontology, neuroscience, and more.

Research interests especially welcomed include health economics, strategy, organization theory, management science, or closely related areas. The successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative scientific research, teach in-person/online/blended formats as needed, and contribute to service activities. Tenured faculty typically have a workload of 40% research, 40% teaching, and 20% service.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a terminal degree from an accredited business, public health, or medical school. For the Assistant Professor level, the university expects a recently awarded PhD and evidence of an emerging research agenda with potential for premier outlets. For the Associate Professor level, candidates should have a sustained record of impactful research, a strong teaching record, and significant service and leadership. A criminal background check is required.
