The project focuses on developing novel molecular contrast agents for imaging solid tumours, with applications in MRI , magnetic particle imaging , and image-guided precision oncology . Research topics include tumour microenvironment targets such as cancer-associated fibroblasts, tumour vasculature, and other biomarkers relevant to solid malignancies. Training spans molecular imaging, nanomedicine, radiochemistry, preclinical imaging, tumour microenvironment research, and translational oncology. The successful candidate will work in a cross-disciplinary environment within Adelaide University’s Bioengineering group and contribute to the clinical translation of molecular imaging technology developed by precision oncology company Ferronova . The project is described as fully funded for 3.5 years , with a tax-free stipend of AU$36,000 per year , tuition fees covered for international students, plus support for research consumables and conference travel.
