and links to Indigenous bush food enterprises. Research themes include growing temperate leafy greens and Indigenous plant species in tropical conditions, with possible work in greenhouse experimentation, hydroponic crop production, plant physiology, and plant-microbe interactions.
This is a
PhD scholarship
for
domestic students only
(Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, and New Zealand citizens). Suitable backgrounds include agricultural science, horticulture, plant science, plant physiology, microbial biology, controlled-environment agriculture, environmental science, or related disciplines.
Funding includes an
RTP stipend of $35,489 per annum from 2026
(indexed annually and tax exempt), plus an
additional $16,000 per annum top-up for three years
,
full tuition fee offset
, and possible relocation assistance of up to
$2,000
.
