Postdoctoral opening in systems neuroscience and translational psychiatry at IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino in Genoa, Italy, in collaboration with Dr Andrea Escelsior and Francesco Papaleo at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia . The funded project, PRISM ( A Multimodal Translational Approach to Predictive Coding Dysfunctions in Schizophrenia ), investigates the neurobiological mechanisms underlying socio-cognitive dysfunctions in psychosis using an integrated clinical–preclinical–computational framework . Research interests include social behavior , cognition , psychiatry , predictive coding , and neural circuit mechanisms in schizophrenia. Required background: strong experience in systems neuroscience and/or translational psychiatry ; hands-on work with in vivo calcium imaging (fiber photometry, miniscope), mouse behavior , and optogenetics and/or circuit manipulation. Preferred skills include Python , MATLAB , or R , plus computational modeling , reinforcement learning , and colony management. This is a funded postdoctoral position with a contract length of 2–4 years . The expected start period is October–December 2026 .
