PhD Scholarship in Cerebral and Behavioural Lateralization in Mice

PhD scholarship opportunity at the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poland. The project is titled Cerebral and behavioural lateralization in early life development of mice and sits at the intersection of animal science , zootechnics , biology , developmental biology , neuroscience , and behavioural research . The successful candidate will join a doctoral school and work in a multidisciplinary and international environment. Main tasks include behavioural tests on mice, laboratory analyses including histology, data analysis, scientific writing, participation in conferences, and compulsory PhD courses. This is a PhD scholarship funded by the National Science Center for 48 months . The gross stipend is 5,000 PLN/month before the midterm evaluation and 6,500 PLN/month after the midterm evaluation. Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold an MSc degree or equivalent in animal science, ecology, biology, or a related field, or expect to obtain it by 30 September 2026. Strong motivation, excellent English, interest in developmental biology and neuroscience, and willingness to work with mice are required.
