University of Delaware is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary project on the evolutionarily conserved functions of microRNAs and their subcellular transport during development . The researcher will use a range of molecular biology , cell biology , RNA biology , and developmental biology approaches, including microinjection , cellular and biochemical assays, proteomics , and fluorescence microscopy . The work involves studying microRNA regulation and function in fixed and living embryos as well as mammalian cells. Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, RNA Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with molecular cloning, confocal imaging, protein expression, biochemistry, and cell culture is expected. The post also asks for a strong publication record, including at least two first-author papers, plus the ability to design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and complete projects to publication. Experience with bioinformatics , especially R programming for RNA-seq or proteomics datasets, is preferred. Funding and terms: the appointment is initially for one year and may be renewed depending on performance and funding availability. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. How to apply: send a cover letter (up to 2 pages), CV with publications and conferences, and the names/contact details of three professional references.
