Postdoctoral Researcher in Aeroelastic Simulation and Wind Energy Testing Infrastructures

University of Rostock is advertising a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) position in aeroelastic simulation within the project TIS-Wind-Grid-HiL . The role is based at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology , Chair of Engineering Mechanics & Dynamics / Technical Mechanics & Dynamics . This is a research-focused position in aeroelasticity , wind energy systems , and the development of testing infrastructures . Responsibilities include developing real-time simulation algorithms , conducting experimental investigations on test rigs , programming experimental procedures, carrying out laboratory and field measurements, collaborating with industry partners, supervising student research projects, and publishing results in an interdisciplinary environment. The appointment is a fixed-term project position until 2026-07-31 , starting 2026-10-01 , and is paid at TV-L E13 on a full-time basis (40 hours/week). Funding is explicitly subject to project funding. Eligibility highlights include a completed scientific university degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline with a good result, plus a completed or nearly completed PhD in technical mechanics or a related doctoral field. Applicants should have strong experience in model building, system simulation, experimental and numerical modal analysis, signal analysis and processing, and programming in C/C++ , Python , or similar languages.
