The group focuses on coupled processes in porous media using multi-physics approaches , with particular emphasis on X-ray CT , NMR , and numerical simulation including pore-network modeling . Research interests include understanding how pore-scale phenomena control macro-scale mechanical and hydraulic behavior, with applications to long-term geological gas storage , gas hydrates , and geologic hydrogen .
