Postdoctoral Research Associate in Dexterous Robotic Manipulation at the University of Notre Dame A postdoctoral position is available in the new Physical AI and Robotics (PAIR) initiative at the University of Notre Dame. The project focuses on dexterous robotic manipulation and sits at the intersection of robotics , physical AI , mechanical engineering , computer science , and electrical engineering . The successful candidate will work directly with Prof. Nikolaus Correll in a vibrant interdisciplinary environment with access to collaborations across robotics and AI, as well as state-of-the-art computational resources and manufacturing equipment. The role is especially relevant for researchers with experience in forceful manipulation and control , tactile sensing , perception , and the design and construction of custom robotic hardware . The postdoc is expected to contribute to high-impact robotics research and to participate actively in the broader robotics community. Strong communication skills and evidence of first-author publications in leading venues such as ICRA, IROS, RSS, or CoRL are highlighted as desirable. Eligibility requires a doctoral degree in robotics, mechanical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field by the start date.
