Postdoctoral Opportunities at the University of Michigan
Roozbeh Tabrizian, Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers to join his laboratory. The research focuses on next-generation
MEMS
technologies, with emphasis on
MEMS resonators
,
acoustic devices
,
device physics
,
micro/nanofabrication
,
functional materials
,
RF/microwave characterization
,
precision measurement
,
oscillators
,
frequency stability
, and
feedback control
.
The lab’s work spans advanced timing and positioning, computing, and physical metrology, combining experimental device development with modeling and automated measurement. Candidates with strong hands-on experience in electromechanical transduction, vibration mechanics, nonlinear dynamics, coupled modes, silicon or SiC devices, piezoelectric or ferroelectric thin films, low-noise readout, lock-in detection, and multiphysics simulation are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants must hold a PhD in
Electrical Engineering
,
Mechanical Engineering
, or
Physics
by the appointment start date. The post seeks researchers who can work independently, troubleshoot technical challenges, and take ownership of ambitious experimental projects. One opening is limited to U.S. citizens or U.S. lawful permanent residents; the other is open to candidates currently based in the United States with valid work authorization for employment at U-M.
To apply, email
