About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher Opening at the University of Michigan in microwave/RF experimental devices, with a focus on high-frequency acoustic, electromechanical, and wave-based devices. The group is seeking 1–2 postdoctoral researchers for an immediate start.
This is a strongly experimental role. The post emphasizes hands-on work in microwave/RF/mm-wave/sub-THz measurements, S-parameter characterization, calibration and de-embedding, RF test structures and interconnects, and mitigation of parasitic/feedthrough effects. Research interests also include acoustic devices, electromechanical devices, MEMS/NEMS, and piezoelectric devices.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics. A strong publication record is important, and the ideal candidate can independently design experiments, debug complex measurement setups, analyze high-frequency data, and produce high-impact publications. Helpful additional experience includes measurement automation, Python/MATLAB, HFSS/ADS/COMSOL, cleanroom fabrication, acoustic wave devices, and high-frequency transducers.
To apply, email a CV, a brief research statement, and 2–3 representative publications to [email protected]. No deadline is stated in the post.
Funding details
Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
